Asexual is a word some people use to describe people who do not experience sexual desire or attraction, and who don’t have sexual needs or a desire for sexual contact.
Asexuality is not the same as abstinence (celibacy). People who choose to live in celibacy still experience sexual desire and attraction, but for different reasons choose not to have sex with anyone.
