Vaginal secretion
Vaginal secretion is the name for the fluid that is produced in the vagina. There are two types of vaginal secretion: discharge and lubrication. Discharge is the normal fluid that the vagina produces every day. Its appearance and smell vary according to where the woman is in her menstrual cycle. Lubrication is the fluid the vagina produces when the woman is aroused. This fluid lubricates the vaginal opening and helps during intercourse. If the vagina produces too little lubricant before and during intercourse, then it might be painful. In this case it may be a good idea to use artificial lubricant, this can be bought at a chemist’s.
