Does Christianity accept homosexuality?

Does Christianity accept homosexuality?
From a girl of fifteen.

Hi, and thanks for your question,

Homosexuality is a word that we don’t see directly in the Bible, and the Bible does not say that it is a sin to have homosexual feelings. However, the Bible says very directly that sex between people belongs only in the framework of a lifelong marriage between a man and a woman. In many places the Bible also says that sex should not take place between two people of the same sex, for example Romans 1:25–27, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 and 1 Timothy 1:9–10. It is important to make a distinction between feelings and actions. The Bible does not condemn feelings, but at the same time it doesn’t allow any room for having sex with someone of the same gender, or with a person you are not married to.

Best wishes
