Orgasm

An orgasm occurs at the height of sexual arousal. When a man has an orgasm, the muscles around the penis contract several times one after the other, and semen spurts out through the urethral opening. The woman also has muscle contractions around the vagina when she has an orgasm. People experience orgasms differently, and it often affects the whole body. Most people feel tired and relaxed after having an orgasm.

After having an orgasm the man’s penis returns to normal. It can be quite sensitive and touch can be uncomfortable. It takes time for it to be able to get stiff again. This varies with age: young men can sometimes get a second erection after a few minutes, while older men may have to wait several hours until they can have another orgasm. If a woman is further stimulated, she can sometimes have two or more orgasms in a row.
