Ejaculation

The word ejaculation is used to describe what happens during a man’s orgasm. During an ejaculation the muscles around the penis contract several times one after another, causing the semen to be pressed out through the urethra and exit through the penis. Boys and men can also have an ejaculation when they sleep. This is called a wet dream. This is normal and happens when the body needs to get rid of surplus semen. Some women also have a slight discharge of fluid during orgasm. This fluid comes from glandular tissue which is similar to the man’s prostate gland, and it lies around the urethra.
